Mountain View Ballet Company & Western Ballet School

 

Founded in 1976, the Mountain View Ballet Company and School / School of Western Ballet is located in Mountain View, California. In 1995 we were granted Home Company status with the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. This designation allows us to present a professional venue for performances. Students come from many of the adjacent communities to engage in dance training that emphasizes the art of classical ballet. We strive to teach dance in a manner that encourages children, teens and adults to achieve individual excellence and to develop discipline, creativity and confidence that last a lifetime. Many of our pre-professional students have majored in dance at colleges and universities, or have joined companies such as Colorado Ballet, Oakland Ballet and San Francisco Ballet. We offer a graded program for students pursuing a pre-professional track; an open program for teens, three levels of classes for adults and adult pointe.
