Home Ryan Gill is a passionate Being, a multiplicity of talent, and an artistic genius. He is a character & story driven actor, focused on landing roles that have layers, with messages that have power
Literally born on Hope Street, April 9th in Los Angeles, California, Ryan knew at an early age that his calling was to work in the industry of entertainment. Growing up a "latch-key kid," the youngest of four--with his next closest sibling being 12 years older--Ryan often came home after school to an empty house. His father, a United States Postal Service machine operator, and his mother, a payroll supervisor at Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp., Ryan spent time entertaining himself by choreographing dance routines, and acting out characters in the mirror, after completing his homework.
Ryan's high school student council advisor, Fabian Martin, saw a certain pizzazz in him and encouraged him to showcase his talent with the school. Soon, there was a buzz about this young performer, and as fate would have it, Ryan was guided by Fabian in auditioning for a Talent Agent. Upon being signed, Ryan's biggest obstacle was living an hour away from LA where all the auditions took place. Ryan overcame that obstacle by taking the Metro-Link train and riding city buses. Ryan was then, as he is now, committed to pursuing his dream, and was determined to let nothing stand in his way.
Ryan first worked with the Brandy & Ray J. Norwood Kids Foundation, performing on their Premiere Hip-Hop Dance Team. He established relationships with noted choreographers, Lisa Ruffin and Swoop, who hired him for music videos. Ryan subsequently made appearances acting, dancing and choreographing for shows to include Disney's Even Steven's, Moesha, the Steve Harvey Show, and Mad TV. He even showcased his vocal ability in the short-lived boy-band group, Fresh. Audiences across the globe were graced to see more of Ryan's true personality as they rooted for him to overcome the darkness on MTV's Reality Show, Fear. The producers and fans that voted on MTV.com wanted to see more of Ryan and asked him back to Host the Fear Reunion Special. Understanding the importance of education, Ryan then took a break to expand his knowledge base and hone his craft.
With an urgent curiosity to know all aspects of the entertainment business, Ryan enrolled in the Art Institute of Los Angles where he studied TV/Video Production and advanced acting. Additionally, Ryan trained privately with Chip Fields-Hurd and Richard Lyons. After completing college, Ryan yearned to get back in front of the camera, and was cast in his most memorable performance to date, "Miles From Home," starring Meagan Good, and Ty Hodges. Ryan nailed the role of an androgynous, prostituting, cross-dresser named Peaches, who has sly sayings and a fierce attitude. Ryan has a proven ability to captivate an audience
Ryan's immediate goal is to work on the "Dream Girls" movie directed by Bill Condon, starring Beyonce' Knowles, his biggest inspiration. Ryan will continue to pursue roles that will stretch his creativity and gifts, in the hopes of blessing others as his has been blessed.
