Classes started September 3rd but it's not to late to register!

The PreBallet class needs a few more students so it is now open to Kindergarten students.

The 3 and 4 year old Jazz/Tap class is full at the moment but if there is enough interest, we can start a second class. So call if you have a young dancer that has not registered yet.

The Danz Dimensions Studio was first opened in 1989 and only offered one class, an award winnning competition team for middle school students. Since then it has expanded to 10 classes for ages 3 and up. In 2004, we moved into a newly remodeled and spacious studio located on the second floor at 98 South Main in Gunnison.

The Danz Dimensions Studio offers classes in Classical Ballet & Pointe, Jazz, Hip Hop and Tap for ages 3 and up. The students are taught correct technique and vocabulary in a fun environment. All dancers are given the opportunity to perform and compete at dance competitions.

Jazz and Tap together-
3 & 4 year olds - Tuesday 1:45 - 2:30 **CLASS FULL!**
4 & 5 year olds - Tuesdays 2:45 to 3:30
1st, 2nd, 3rd grades - Mini Danz - Wednesdays 4:35 to 5:30

Tap only-
6th grade and Up - Mondays 6:30 to 7:00

Hip Hop
5th grade and Up - Wednesdays 3:30 to 4:30

Jazz Competition Teams
Jr. Company - 4th grade and Up - Wednesdays 2:30 to 3:30
Sr. Company - 6th grade and Up - Tuesdays 3:30 to 4:45

Classical Ballet
PreBallet - K, 1st & 2nd grade - Mondays 2:30 to 3:20
Ballet I/II - 3rd grade and up - Mondays 3:30 - 4:30
Ballet II/PrePointe - 6th grade and up - Mondays 3:30 to 4:50 and Wednesdays 5:30 to 6:20
Ballet IV/Int. Pointe - by invitation - Mondays 5:00 to 6:30 and Wednesdays 5:30 to 7:00

The Danz Dimensions Studio is dedicated to making dance classes affordable to everyone who loves to dance!

Tuition prices:
Once a week classes are $20 a month.
Ballet Pointe classes (twice weekly) are $35 a month.

There is a $15 registration fee per family per year.

Each class will purchase one costume to be used all year. Costume prices range from $35 to $50. A $25 costume deposit will be due mid September and the rest mid October.

If you chose to compete with us, competition fees are $8 to $13.

Q. Does everyone have a chance to perform?
A.Twice a year we have a recital - one at Christmas and one in the Spring. We also perform at local events and ALL classes will have a chance to compete at least twice during the year. The Sr. Company team and the Hip Hop class will compete at four competitions a year.

Q. What are the students required to wear to classes?
A.Tap & Hip Hop classes can wear anything they can move freely in.
Older Tap class will need black oxford tap shoes. ($20)
Hip Hop classes will need black street shoes to perform in.

Jr. and Sr. Competition teams need black slip-on jazz shoes ($23)as well as black dance pants to practice in.

Younger Jazz/Tap classes need black ballet slippers ($14) and black tap shoes ($18) and any style of dance clothes they wish.


Classical Ballet dress code:
Girls -pink slippers ($14), pink tights and any colored leotard.
(Skirts optional)
Boys - black canvas shoes, white socks, black shorts/pants & white T-shirt.

Q. Where can I get dance clothes and shoes?
A. The studio can order them for you plus we have a selection of leotards, tights, skirts, dance pants, studio shirts, jackets and backpacks as well as new and used shoes in the office.
To order on the internet, go to www.curtaincallforclass.com and enter DanzD in the studio ID line. Good prices for dance clothes with NO shipping and FREE exchanges, but I can get shoes at a lower price.

Q. How do I register for classes?
A. Contact TeriLee at (435) 528-3012 - stop by the studio during business hours - or click the 'Send Message' button below and email the dancers name, age, contact name and phone number as well as which class you are registering for. You will get a confirmation email back in a day or two.

Directions/Parking Information:
The studio is located upstairs in the corner building on Main and 100 South. Parking is available on the south side of the building. The entrance is located between the Dive/Quilt shop and the historic 'Casino Star Theatre'.
