San Jose Jazz Society

 

Founded in 1986 by a small group of jazz devotees, the San Jose Jazz Society has become synonymous with excellence in performance and education. Best known for the highly regarded annual Comcast San Jose Jazz Festival, which presents hundreds of top jazz artists at no charge to the community, the San Jose Jazz Society is dedicated to its mission of celebrating jazz through performance and education to enrich and improve the lives of the people in the Silicon Valley.

To accomplish this mission, the Jazz Society presents more than 200 in-school workshops that bring jazz to kids in underserved schools where there are little or no music programs.
